Hello from a festival music curator

We’ll be checking in from time to time to let you know about some of the musicians we’re lining up for this year’s festival. This time we’re shining the spotlight on West Vienna, a group that emerged from the fertile afro-punk garden of Phil Moore Browne. With Matty - 'The Bon Viveur' on guitar, Chuck - 'The Reveller' on drums, Shaun - 'The Prince on Holiday' on vocals, accordion, & electric atmosphere, Stripes - 'The Sheik' on bass guitar & keys and Gravy - 'The Soldier of Socialite' on vocals & percussion, be prepared for a maelstrom of sonic fury!

“West Vienna - in its debut live performance - stole the show[…]. With a muscular sound of repetitious Can-like rhythms and a saxophone's skronks and sub-tones behind them, rappers Gravy Thomas and Shaun howled, crooned, and chattered their way through smart, positivist poetry and skewered jazz.”
